Physical Therapist
 Physical therapists (PTs) help patients of all ages, including accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions such as low-back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy, by providing services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. They restore, maintain, and promote overall maximum movement and functional ability.
Physical therapy interventions may include:
- Manual handling; movement enhancement electrotherapeutic and mechanical agents
- Functional training; provision of aids and appliances; patient related instruction and counseling; documentation of coordination, and communication
- prevention of impairments, functional limitations, disability and injury (including the promotion and maintenance of health, quality of life, and fitness in all ages and populations)
